Conceptos básicos e importantes
Todos nuestros gatos se entregan con un protocolo veterinario mínimo:
Son negativos a Leucemia e Inmunodeficiencia.
Están esterilizados.
Vacunados de trivalente y leucemia en el último año. Algunos también cuentan con vacuna de clamidia y/o rabia.
Se desparasitan interna y externamente de forma regular.
Tienen cartilla o pasaporte propio.
Poseen el chip de identificación a nuestro nombre. En el momento en que se ha realizado el proceso de adopción, nosotros gestionamos el cambio de propietario.
HISTORIAL VETERINARIO:
Somos transparentes. Si algún gato ha padecido alguna enfermedad, necesita unos cuidados especiales, revisiones específicas, en la misma entrevista se te informará debidamente de qué te puede conllevar adoptar a ese gato en concreto.
En el momento en que se compromete formalmente a un gato, nuestro equipo se pone a trabajar en el proceso, recopilando toda la información sanitaria que pudiera tener del gato.
Previamente a la recogida del mismo en adopción, se te enviará por correo electrónico dicha información sanitaria. Tu responsabilidad será leerla y, en caso de duda, preguntarnos. A partir de la adopción, los posibles gastos sanitarios recaerán en ti, como propietario.
ENFERMEDADES SIN SÍNTOMAS:
Nuestra responsabilidad es informarte de todo el historial veterinario del gato, hasta el punto donde tenemos conocimiento. Hay que entender que muchos de los gatos que albergamos han sido recogidos de adultos y se desconoce parte de su pasado, de su infancia o progenitores.
En ocasiones hay enfermedades ocultas que no han mostrado síntomas durante la estancia del gato con nosotros, y que pueden desarrollarse en el hogar. Si fuera así, solicitamos que el adoptante se ponga en contacto con nosotros a la mayor brevedad, para ayudarle en lo posible. Pero no podemos hacernos responsables de enfermedades que desconocemos.
GATOS CON TRATAMIENTO ACTIVO:
En ocasiones hay gatos que están recibiendo un tratamiento farmacológico por terminar, tienen patologías crónicas, o están pendientes de alguna revisión. En estos casos siempre se te informará debidamente de las precauciones que debes tener, se te facilitará la medicación (si procede) y se te explicará como administrarla. Puntualmente, nosotros cubriremos alguna revisión o tratamiento pendiente, porque nos corresponde, informando al adoptante previamente a la adopción.

Health status of the cats
All our cats come with a minimum veterinary protocol:
They are tested negative for leukaemia and immunodeficiency.
They are castrated.
They have been vaccinated against trivalent and leukaemia in the past year.
Some also have been vaccinated against chlamydia and or rabies.
They are regularly dewormed internally and externally.
They have their own identity card or passport.
They have the identification chip in our name. Once the adoption process has been completed, we manage the change of ownership.
VETERINARY RECORD:
We are transparent. If a cat has suffered from any illness, it will need special care and specific check-ups. During the interview, you will be properly informed of what adopting that particular cat may entail.
Once you formally commit to adopting a cat, our team will begin the process and gather all the health information you have about the cat.
Before you adopt the animal, you will receive the cat’s health information by email. It is your responsibility to read it and, if in doubt, ask us. Upon adoption, any potential healthcare costs will be your responsibility as the owner.
ASYMPTOMATIC DISEASES:
It is our responsibility to inform you of the cat's complete medical history, to the extent that we are aware of it. It is important to understand that many of the cats we take in have been rescued as adults and part of their past, their childhood or their parents is unknown.
Sometimes a cat might have a hidden illnesses were the symptoms didn’t show during the cat's stay with us, and which may develop at home. If this is the case, we request that the owner contacts us as soon as possible so that we can assist them as best we can. However, we cannot be held responsible for illnesses that we are unaware of.
CATS UNDERGOING ACTIVE TREATMENT:
Sometimes there are cats undergoing medical treatment, suffering from chronic conditions or awaiting a check-up. In these cases, you will always be properly informed of the precautions you should take. You will be provided with medication (if applicable) and you will be instructed on how to give it. We will carry out any outstanding checks or treatments in a timely manner, as this is our responsibility, and will inform the adopter of this prior to the adoption.
